DESCRIPTION OF JANNAH

Bismillahir Rehmanir Raheem!

DESCRIPTION OF JANNAH

by Imaam Ibn al-Qayyim (Rahimahullaah)

Ibn al-Qayyim said regards to the description of the Paradise and the delights that it contains:

And if you ask about its ground and its soil, then it is of musk and saffron.

And if you ask about its roof, then it is the Throne of the Most Merciful.

And if you ask about its rocks, then they are pearls and jewels.

And if you ask about its buildings, then they are made of bricks of gold and silver.

And if you ask about its trees, then it does not contain a single tree except that its trunk is made of gold and silver.

And if you ask about its fruits, then they are softer than butter and sweeter than honey.

And if you ask about its leaves, then they are softer than the softest cloth.

And if you ask about its rivers, then there are rivers of milk who’s taste does not change, and rivers of wine that is delicious to those who drink it, and rivers of honey that is pure, and rivers of water that is fresh.

And if you ask about their food, then it is fruits from whatever they will choose, and the meat of whatever birds they desire.

And if you ask about their drink, then it is Tasneem, ginger, and Kaafoor.

And if you ask about their drinking cups, then they are crystal-clear and made of gold and silver.

And if you ask about its shade, then a fast rider would ride in the shade of one of its

trees for a hundred years and not escape it.

And if you ask about its vastness, then the lowest of its people would have within his kingdom and walls and palaces and gardens the distance that would be travelled in a thousand years.

And if you ask about its tents and encampments, then one tent is like a concealed pearl that is sixty miles long.

And if you ask about its towers, then they are rooms above rooms in buildings that have rivers running underneath them.

And if you ask about how far it reaches into the sky, then look at the shining star that is visible, as well as those that are far in the heavens that the eyesight cannot possibly reach.

And if you ask about the clothing of its inhabitants, then they are of silk and gold.

And if you ask about its beds, then its blankets are of the finest silk laid out in the highest of its levels.

And if you ask about the faces of its inhabitants and their beauty, then they are like the image of the Moon.

And if you ask about their age, then they are young ones of 33 years in the image of Adam, the father of humanity.

And if you ask about what they will be hearing, then it is the singing of their wives from among the Hoor al-‘Ayn, and better than that are the voices of the Angels and the Prophets, and better than that is the Speech of the Lord of the Worlds.

And if you ask about their servants, then they are young boys of everlasting youth who resemble scattered pearls.

And if you ask about their brides and wives, then they are young and (matured) and have had the liquid of youth flow through their limbs; the Sun runs along the beauty of her face if she shows it, light shines from between her teeth if she smiles; if you meet her love, then say whatever you want regarding the joining of two lights; he sees his face in the roundness of her cheek as if he is looking into a polished mirror, and he sees the brightness from behind her muscles and bones; if she were to be unleashed upon the World, she would fill what is between the Heavens and the Earth with a beautiful wind, and the mouths of the creation would glorifiy, praise, and exclaim greatness, and everything between the East and the West would be adorned for her, and every eye would be shut from everthing but her, and the light of the Sun would be outshone just as the light of the Sun outshines the light of the stars, and everyone on the face of the Earth would believe in the Ever-Living, the One who Sustains and Protects all the exists.

And the covering on her head is better than the World and all that is in it, and she does not increase with age except in beauty; free from saliva, urine and other filthy things; her youth never fades, her clothing is never worn out, no garment can be created that matches her beauty, and no one who is with her can ever become bored; her attention is restricted to her husband, so she desires none but him, just as his attention is restricted to her so she is the sole object of his desire, and he is with her in utmost safety and security, as none has touched her before of either humans or Jinn.

And if you ask about the Day of Increase (in reward) and the visit of the all-Mighty, all-Wise, and the sight of His Face – free from any resemblance or likeness to anything – as you see the Sun in the middle of the day and the full Moon on a cloudless night, then listen on the day that the caller will call: ‘O People of Paradise! Your Lord – Blessed and Exalted – requests you to visit Him, so come to visit Him!’ So they will say: ‘We hear and obey!’

Until, when they finally reach the wide valley where they will all meet – and none of them will turn down the request of the caller – the Lord – Blessed and Exalted – will order His Chair to be brought there. Then, pulpits of light will emerge, as well as pulpits of pearls, gemstone, gold, and silver. The lowest of them in rank will sit on sheets of musk, and will not see what those who are on the chairs above them are given. When they are comfortable where they are sitting and are secure in their places, and the caller calls: ‘O People of Paradise! You have an appointment with Allaah in which He wishes to reward you!’ So they will say: ‘And what is that reward? Has He not already made our faces bright, made our scales heavy, entered us into Paradise, and pushed us away from the Fire?’

And when they are like that, all of a sudden a light shines that encompasses all of Paradise. So, they raise their heads, and, behold: the Compeller – Exalted is He, and Holy are His Names – has come to them from above them and majestified them and said: ‘O People of Paradise! Peace be upon you!’ So, this greeting will not be responded to with anything better than: ‘O Allaah! You are Peace, and from You is Peace! Blessed are You, O possessor of Majesty and Honor!’ So the Lord – Blessed and Exalted – will laugh to them and say: ‘O People of Paradise! Where are those who used to obey Me without having ever seen Me? This is the Day of Increase!’

So, they will all give the same response: ‘We are pleased, so be pleased with us!’ So, He will say: ‘O People of Paradise! If I were not pleased with you, I would not have made you inhabitants of My Paradise! So, ask of Me!’ So, they will all give the same response:Show us your Face so that we may look at it!’ So, the Lord – Mighty and Majestic – will remove his covering and will majestify them and will cover them with His Light, which, if Allaah – the Exalted – had not Willed not to burn them, would have burned them.

And there will not remain a single person in this gathering except that his Lord – the Exalted – will speak to him and say: ‘Do you remember the day that you did this and that?’and He will remind him of some of his bad deeds in the Worldy life, so he will say: ‘O Lord! Will you not forgive me?’ So, He will say: ‘Of course! You have not reached this position of yours (in Paradise) except by my forgiveness.’

So, how sweet is this speech to the ears, and how cooled are the righteous eyes by the glance at His Noble Face in the Afterlife…

{Some faces that Day will be shining and radiant, looking at their Lord…} (al-Qiyaamah:22-3)

The Best 10 Days of the Year!

Bismillahir Rehmanir Raheem!
As Salaam O ‘Alaykum Wa Rehmatullaahi Wa Barakatuh! Sibling in Islam,
Hope this mail finds you in the best of health and emaan, Insha-ALLAAH!

Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allaah than these ten days.”

They said: “Not even jihad for the sake of Allaah?”
He said:

“Not even jihad for the sake of Allaah, unless a man goes out himself for jihad taking his wealth with him and does not come back with anything.”

Narrated from Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him); Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 2/457

Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“There is no deed that is better before Allaah or more greatly rewarded than a good deed done in the (first) ten days of al-Adha.”

It was said: “Not even jihad for the sake of Allaah?”
He said:

“Not even jihad for the sake of Allaah, unless a man goes out himself for jihad taking his wealth with him and does not come back with anything.”

Narrated from Anas (may Allaah be pleased with him); Narrated by al-Daarimi, 1/357; its isnaad is hasan as stated in al-Irwa’, 3/398.

It was  that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“There are no days that are greater before Allaah or in which good deeds are more beloved to Him, than these ten days, so recite a great deal of tahleel, takbeer and tahmeed during them.”

Narrated from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him); Narrated by Ahmad, 7/224; its isnaad was classed as saheeh by Ahmad Shaakir.

It was narrated from Hunaydah ibn Khaalid from his wife, that one of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to fast on the first nine days of Dhu’l-Hijjah and the day of ‘Ashoora’, and three days each month, the first Monday of the month and two Thursdays.

Narrated by al-Nasaa’i, 4/205 and by Abu Dawood; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood, 2/462.

How can we try to make the most of these days that are beloved to Allah jallay wa ‘ala:

1. FAST
Try to fast from the 1st to 9th of Dhul Hijjah if you can, but if you cannot, then at least try to fast the Day of Arafat (the 9th day, day before Eid).

2. Do lots of ADHKAAR
Spend your time doing lots of dhikr, saying Takbeer (ALLAAHu Akbar), Tahmeed (Alhamdulillah), Tahleel (La ilaa ha ill-Allah) and Tasbeeh (SubhanAllah). Also recite the takbeerat on the first ten days, as well as the three days of Eid. The takbeer is “Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, laa ilaaha ill-Allah, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, wa lillaah il-hamd (Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great, there is no god worthy of worship except Allah; Allah is Most Great and to Allah be praise).

3. Read as much QURAN (one of the greatest form of dhikr) as you can
Whatever you normally read, try to increase it and read a bit more each day. Read the translation as well if you dont understand the Arabic and take time to reflect on its meaning and see how you can apply the words of Allah SWT in your daily life

4. Make lots of DU’AA
Remember that Allah azza wa jal always near and He always hears the supplication of everyone who calls on Him

5. Makes lots of ISTAGHFAR
Make sincere repentance to Allah subhanu wa ta’ala for your mistakes and give up all things that Allah azza wa jal doesn’t like.

6. Increase in all general GOOD DEEDS
Give sadaqa, be good to parents and family members, help the needy, visit the sick..

7. Make a SACRIFICE
Make arrangements for the sacrifice of a cow, sheep whatever. Read the story of Prophet Ibrahim and his sacrifice and ponder on the lessons on this story

8. HAJJ AND UMRAH
Well….if you haven’t already made plans for this, its a little to late now

9. Perform more VOLUNTARY PRAYERS (especially QIYAM AL LAYL)
Try to pray at least 2 rakat in the last 3rd of the night.
Prophet Muhammd (salla Allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said,

“Our Lord, the Blessed, the Superior, comes every night down on the nearest heaven to us when the last third of the night remains, saying: “Is there anyone to invoke Me, so that I may respond to invocation? Is there anyone to ask Me, so that I may grant him his request? Is there anyone seeking My forgiveness, so that I may forgive him?”

Narrated by Abu Huraira (RA); This hadith is from Sahih Al-Bukhari, Book of night prayers, Hadith No: 1081

If you are fasting, an easy way to do it is just wake up 20 minutes (at least) earlier than usual for suhoor!

10. ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO DO MORE GOOD DEEDS
Insha-ALLAAH you will share in their reward, when you call them to goodness!

If these points were of any benefit for you, please make du’aa for the entire Muslim Ummaah, Insha-ALLAAH!

JazakALLAAH Khair!

ALLAAH says (interpretation of the meaning):

And never say of anything, “I shall do such and such thing tomorrow.”
Except (with the saying), “Insha-ALLAAH! [[ If Allâh will! ]]” And remember your Lord when you forget and say: “It may be that my Lord guides me unto a nearer way of truth than this.”

[Surah Al-Kahf, Ayat 23-24 (Ch. 18: Verses 23-24, Qur’an)]

Tafisr Ibn Kathir

Saying “If Allah wills” when determining to do Something in the Future

The reason why this Ayah was revealed is when the Prophet was asked about the story of the people of the Cave, he said, “I will tell you tomorrow (WITHOUT SAYING INSHA-ALLAAH).” Then the revelation was delayed for fifteen days.

Here Allah, may He be glorified, shows His Messenger the correct etiquette when determining to do something in the future; this should always be referred to the will of Allah, the Knower of the Unseen, Who knows what was and what is yet to be and what is not to be, and how it will be if it is to be.

It was recorded in the Two Sahihs that Abu Hurayrah said that the Messenger of Allah said:
Sulayman bin Dawud (peace be upon them both) said:

“Tonight I will go around to seventy women [according to some reports, it was ninety or one hundred women] so that each one of them will give birth to a son who will fight for the sake of Allah.”

It was said to him, [according to one report, the angel said to him] “Say: `If Allah wills'”, but he did not say it.

He went around to the women but none of them gave birth except for one who gave birth to a half-formed child.

The Messenger of Allah said,

“By the One in Whose hand is my soul, had he said, “If Allah wills,” he would not have broken his oath, and that would have helped him to attain what he wanted.”

According to another report,

They would all have fought as horsemen in the cause of Allah.

(And remember your Lord when you forget)
It was said that this means, if you forget to say “If Allah wills”, then say it when you remember.

This was the view of Abu Al-`Aliyah and Al-Hasan Al-Basri. Hushaym reported from Al-A`mash from Mujahid that concerning a man who swears an oath, Ibn `Abbas said “He may say `If Allah wills’ even if it is a year later.”

ALLAAH azza wa jal says in many places in Qur’an:

“Whatsoever is on it (the earth) will perish.
And the Face of your Lord full of Majesty and Honour will remain forever.”

[Surah Ar-Rehman, Ayaat 26-27 (Ch. 55: Verse 26-27, Qur’an)]

“Everyone shall taste the death. Then unto Us you shall be returned.”

[Surah Al-Ankaboot, Ayaat 57 (Ch. 29: Verse 57, Qur’an)]

“Verily, you (O Muhammad) will die, and verily, they (too) will die”

[Surah Az-Zumar, Ayaat 57 (Ch. 29: Verse 57, Qur’an)]

From a hadeeth-
Whenever a calamity befalls upon you say:

“Inna lillaahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un”
[[ Surely, we belong to Allaah and to Him shall we return! ]]

Why don’t we understand?!
All we were Created to do was worship our Lord, ALLAAH azza wa jal.
Why are we wasting time in nonsense and haraam things?!
It will end, sooner or later!
All will matter is your good deeds!

Ease of Entering Jannah

Bismillahir Rehmanir Raheem!

As Salaam O ‘Alaykum Wa Rehmatullaahi Wa Barakatuh!

Narrated Abu Al-Aswad:

Once I went to Medina where there was an outbreak of disease and the people were dying rapidly.
I was sitting with ‘Umar and a funeral procession passed by. The people praised the deceased.
‘Umar said, “It has been affirmed (Paradise).
Then another funeral procession passed by. The people praised the deceased.
‘Umar said, “It has been affirmed (Paradise).
Then another funeral procession passed by. The people praised the deceased.
‘Umar said, “It has been affirmed (Paradise).”
Then a third funeral procession passed by and the people talked badly of the deceased.
‘Umar said, “It has been affirmed (Hell).
I asked Umar, “O chief of the believers! What has been affirmed?”
He said, “I have said what the Prophet (salla ALLAAHu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said.

He (salla ALLAAHu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said,

‘Allah will admit into paradise any Muslim whose good character is attested by four persons.’
We asked the Prophet, ‘If there were three witnesses only?’

He said, ‘Even three.’
We asked, ‘If there were two only?’

He said, ‘Even two.’

But we did not ask him about one witness.”

[Bukhari :: Book 3 :: Volume 48 :: Hadith 811]

Is your good character such that everyone thinks that you are from the people of paradise (even your enemies)?!
Is your character such that no-one thinks that you are from the people of hell (even your enemies)?!
I am not a scholar, thus, I will not continue, Bi’izhnillah!

Oh AllAH make us the people of Jannah and save us from the fire of hell!

Worship – In 3 Main Categories

Bismillahir Rehmanir Raheem!
As Salaam O ‘Alaykum Wa Rehmatullaahi Wa Barakatuh! Sibling in Islam,
Hope this mail finds you in the best of health and emaan, Insha’AllAH!

WORSHIP IN 3 MAIN CATEGORIES: HEART, TONGUE, PHYSICAL FACULTIES

Worship is anything pleasing to ALLAAH from the hidden and apparent actions.

Worship of the Heart is from the hidden actions, such as:

· Loving Allah and his Messenger {salla ALLAAHu ‘alayhi wa sallam}

· Tawakkul (reliance on ALLAAH)

· Sabr (patience)

· Being pleased with ALLAAH and with His Qadr

· Yaqeen (certainty in ALLAAH and His religion)

Worshipping ALLAAH with Tongue:

· Du’aa is of 2 types.

A Muslim ensures to make both types of du’a and not just du’a of supplication.

o Du’aa of supplication:

Where you ask Allah to grant you something

o Du’aa of praise:

Where you glorify ALLAAH i.e. subhanAllah, ALLAAHu Akbar

· We should be in form of worship all time constantly with ALLAAH Subhana wa ta`ala

· When one observes and contemplates wonders of ALLAAH is worship

o When was the last time we worshipped ALLAAH with the Quran?

o The greatest dhikr is the one that encompasses the tongue AND the heart

o Dhikr of listening – listening to Quran, good talk – turning away from al-laghw (vain, evil speech).

(e.g. If someone is backbiting or slandering and we leave – That will be worship of the ears).

Worshipping Allah with the Physical Faculties:

· Every good deed that we perform for the sake of Allah is worship.

Even brushing your teeth if the higher intention is to purify your mouth for the worship of Allah (i.e. reciting Qur’an, etc)

· Your migration from doing evil to good is ibaadah.

Stopping self from doing hamaam for the sake of Allah is worship – I move to halal is a form of worship

Oh AllAH azza wa jal Have Mercy on all of us!

Beautiful Ad’iya of Pleading for Forgiveness from ALLAAH

Bismillahir Rehmanir Raheem!
As Salaam O ‘Alaykum Wa Rehmatullaahi Wa Barakatuh!

———————————————————————–
Narrated Shaddad bin Aus:
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said,

The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is:

(O Allah! You are my Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but You. You created me and I am Your slave, and I am faithful to my covenant and my promise as much as I can. I seek refuge with You from all the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, and I confess to You all my sins. So I entreat You to forgive my sins, for nobody can forgive sins except You.)

The Prophet (peace be upon him) added,

“If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise.”

Bukhari :: Book 8 :: Volume 75 :: Hadith 318

The above du’a is known as the Sayyid al-Istighfar and is the most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah.

———————————————————————–

Abu Bakar al-Siddiq said to the Messenger of Allah (salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa salaam):

“Teach me a du’a that I may say in my prayer.”

He (salla ALLAAHu ‘alayi wa sallam) said:

“Say:

Allahumma inni zalamtu nafsi zulman katheeran wa laa yaghfir ul-dzunoob illa anta, faghfir li maghfiratan min ‘indaka warhamni, innaka anta al-Ghafur al-Raheem’.

(O Allah, indeed I have wronged myself greatly, and there is none who forgives sins besides You. So grant me forgiveness from You and have mercy on me, for you are the All-Forgiving, Most Merciful).

Al-Bukhari (834) and Muslim (2705)

Just do tawbah, Insha’ALLAAH! Repent for your numerous sins, oh my people!

Every human commits sins!
A believer is the one who repents for his sins, does tawbah and seeks Forgiveness from ALLAAH azza wa jal!

Oh ALLAAH! Forgive our sins and decrease our short comings!

The Girlfriend Boyfriend Issue

Bismillahir Rehmanir Raheem!

As Salaam O ‘Alaykum Wa Rehmatullaahi Wa Barakatuh! Sibling in Islam,
Hope this mail finds you in the best of health and emaan, Insha’ALLAAH!

Before you guys read this, I would like to request something.

Please do forward this to your contacts, Insha’ALLAAH! and invite them to subscribe to:

This is a major issue in today’s youth.
Start off by sending this to your family members, then to your neighbors and then to others whom you dont know.
[This is how the Prophet {salla ALLAAHu ‘alayhi wa sallam} told us to do da’wah!]

Topic: Boyfriends and girlfriends in Islam.

Start off by seeing this video, Insha’ALLAAH :

Also, watch this one too (just for some more good time, Insha’ALLAAH!)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNlkIxFAlv0

I don’t know what else to say other than what has already been conveyed in these videos?
Keeping gfz and bfz is just idiotic; it is Immature! PLUS, most importantly it is HARAAM!!

This is why it is FARDH to lower your gaze while you are outside, on the streets!
This is why it is sinful if you see a girl more than once! Keep in mind that the first glance should be BY MISTAKE, and not intentional, Insha’ALLAAH!

A girl’s face can change with the passage of time, that attraction to her body can change with the passage of time, but the attraction to her soul, her religious side wont change, rather it will increase if both want to please ALLAAH azza wa jal, Bi’iznillah!

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“A woman may be married for four things – her wealth, her lineage, her beauty and her commitment to religion. Choose the one who is religious, may your hands be rubbed with dust [i.e., may you prosper]!”

(Agreed upon)

Also below is a fatwa, which is very useful for the Sisters in Islam to read:
http://www.islam-qa.com/en/ref/93519/boy%20friend%20girl%20friend

AND one more major issue that also in our mind that whats a difference between friend boy and boyfriend???

There are two terms for this issue. Boyfriend, and Friend boy.

Friend boy is just a friend who is a male, while boyfriend is the one with the one you have illegal, not Islamic relationships which isn’t allowed at all.

Let me be clear when saying this:

EVEN A FRIEND BOY IS HARAAM IN ISLAM!

Shaytan never tells you directly, “let us do zinah (major sin)!” He takes it step-by-step! And the first step is when you higher your gaze and look into this world of fitnah.
Islam has come to chop down roots of all evils! SubhanALLAAH!

LOWER YOUR GAZE IS FARDH IN ISLAM!

Allaah azza wa jal says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc.). That is purer for them. Verily, Allah is All-Aware of what they do.”

[24:30, Qur’an]

Remember:

Shaytan is your worst enemy; he will always be two steps ahead of you!

Way to defeat him: Easy, follow the Qur’an and Sunnah, Insha’ALLAAH! 🙂

You cant hide anything from HIM jallay wa ‘ala.

ITTAQILLAAH!

[Fear ALLAAH!]

If you really think that he/she is the one whome you want to marry, then stay halal and propose her in a halal way, Insha’ALLAAH!

Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“there is nothing better for two who love one another than marriage”

(Saheeh al-Jaami’, no 5200)

Do not worry. It has already been decided 50, 000 thousand years before you were created who your spouse will be, Bi’izhnillah, and you will get the one who you deserve!

AllAH says in the Qur’an (translation of the meaning):

“Women impure are for men impure and men impure are for women impure; and women of purity are for men of purity, and men of purity are for women of purity: these are not affected by what people say: for them there is forgiveness, and a provision honourable.”

Surah Al-Noor: Ayaat 26 [Ch.24: Verse 26, Qur’an]

Do remember, that telling this to you people NOT only will maybe  increase your level of Emaan, but CERTAINLY,  does increase my level of Emaan, Bi’izhnillah!
Thus, please try to grab this sweet of opportunity of raising your faith, Insha’ALLAAH! by spreading the message of truth.

Oh ALLAAH Grant us tawfiq to stay on the perfect pathway, the pathway of Islam!

Oh ALLAAH Grant us tawfiq to spread the right message of Islam!

Oh ALLAAH save us from the works of shaytan!
Aameen Ya Rabbul ‘Aalameen!

And DON’T forget it to forward it to AT LEAST your family! because might be not you but one of your family member is going on the wrong path and this mail will help him/her, Insha’ALLAAH!

And ALLAAH subhanu wa ta’ala Knows Best!

Take Care!

As Salaam O ‘Alaykum Wa Rehmatullaahi Wa Barakatuh!
